More clever ways to save the date: Confetti Card

Confetti (in a glassine envelope) lets family and friends know there's something to celebrate; attach to with double-sided tape.

See confetti card in the center.
Avalon postcards with rubber stamp w info.
For a formal event, the cards can be worded simply: "Please save the date of Sunday, the twentieth of May, for the wedding of Michelle Creel to Tim Lind." For a casual wedding, you might say something like "We're getting married! Please save the date: May 20, 2012, Avalon, NJ. Invitation and details to follow," with your names below.
